Raised loft boarding

Many home owners like to board out their lofts for additional storage. However the boarding is often installed by compressing the loft insulation and fixing directly to the trusses. Compacting the insulation reduces its efficiency, the solution is to raise up the floor level leaving the insulation untouched with an air gap and retaining the insulating properties of the mineral wool.
